What about the dry van division? They are way over due for a raise. What would a flat bedder make now? I thought they got only .02 CPM more than a dry van? Does this apply to o/o too?

I'm not sure exactly, I will find out more on Monday when this supposedly takes effect. The 8cpm raise might be for new drivers who will start out at 34cpm instead of 26, with people already making 35cpm bumped up to 40 or something. They said they were working on a new o/o pay package but no details as of yet.

I think this might only apply to the flatbed division for now as the msg came from the VP of flatbed operations.

Not sure if you meant to post this here. It is an interesting story but I'm not sure of the relevance to the thread topic.

Seeing how flatbedders do lots more work than van drivers, they deserve to make more.

There is a raise for van as well. I was shown an email a few weeks ago with the new van pay scale by a terminal employee. He told me then that we, flatbed, were getting a raise too. The van sidecis not as high of a raise, if memory serves correct it was .03 cpm across the board. I was glad to get that message yesterday, that is for sure.

When does this pay raise kick in? I don't know why companies hide their pay scales. One guess is maybe they don't want their customers to see what we get paid? Glad to see the pay going up anyways from different companies. I don't know why this is so secretive. I have a friend who works in the dry van, he claims he hasn't heard a word about a pay increase.

No idea on a date. The email I saw was dated June 1.

The current pay scale is not hidden it is readily available online but the new pay scale has not been released yet.
