The in dash and Qualcomm fuel reading's are off they are never 100% right. This truck I have now Volvo is off by .7 mpg. Yep I am a geek when it comes to wanting to know my mpg. Even tho I am a company driver the 5 trucks that I have had the closest one to pen and paper was the 1st truck I had with swift. FLD it was off by .3 the worst was my pro star off by 1.3
Swift lease at the end....if u have completed your swift lease?

I guess it my OCD with mpg lol. Been tracking mpg since my 1st car. 1976 firebird only got 11.7 mpg, but I was 16 so I raced it a lot. When I was a 19k in the army (tanker) the tank got 1.6 mpg hwy but in the field get about .6 lol but it was 68 tons and 1500 hp engine. I even track my car mpg have 4 note books since ihave owned for 6 years

fr8monkey Thanks this. -
Congrats to you!
Nice to see someone who had the commitment to keep moving forward.
IMO as the truck has reached a ripe age you would be best served by upgrading to a new truck..less worries and warranty help will make things easier.
Of course there's the argument of your truck pretty much being problem free..or close to it.
Which will make the payments lower but with an increased maintenance cost.
Either way I think you will do well.fr8monkey Thanks this. -
If you keep her, read "Rawze" 's thread on pre DEF Cummin engine.
Good advice in there about sensors and cleaning the intake and exhaust off the engine.
There are even some youtube vids off it.
Even if you don't have the exact same engine, his points are valid for all EGR engines.
Don't run your turbo to long,if the vanes on it will not do their work and MPG will suffer.
A friend off mine had it recently, cost him 1MPG.fr8monkey Thanks this. -

If you keep it I'd recommend having a chat with a Pittsburgh Power rep. Their turbo's are great. Together with their muffler, exhaust manifold, and intake manifold the engine will breath better with improved mpg.
IMHO if I were in your shoes I'd opt for a new Cascadia or Evolution. My experience has been those get the best mpg. -

Take it with a grain of salt, my average mpg in a '12 Cascadia was 7.5 during solo for six months last year. It was common to get above 8.5 on lighter loads in the flats. My idle % was less than 5%.
