Sixteen days ago I started the swift academy in Lewiston Idaho. It's been nothing short of a great experience. I've passed all my academy testing with 90% or better and just have my Washington state exam tommorow. From the first phone call to my recruiter until now everything has been transparent and exactly how it was said it would be done. Kudos to swift for this portion of their training. I cannot speak to orentation or mentors but will after I cross that bridge. I feel confident not ####y about tommorow and have enough nerves to keep me sharp and honest tomorrow during the exam. Be well my trucking friends.

Good skill and safe driving for your test. I'd say luck, but luck has nothing to do with it. Next step will be orientation and training. Absorb all you can. Be the sponge. Insist on driving the hard parts.

Welcome aboard to trucking, when you are with your mentor LISTEN to him/her they will let you know what is right not just teach you to pass a test.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

Great job, ramblnman! Now the real life learning begins.

Hold the steering wheel like a wounded sparrow. Let your arms hang. Keep plenty of space in front of you and make space for all the other folks on the road. This is the essence of driving in a relaxed, courteous, and safe manner.
