It all depends on the charges though. I couldn't seal my record of age of 18 because there was a severe body injury. I just hope it does seal this time I filled up the new application at court.

Hahaha that's true man, not every trucker is an angel but some are not as lucky as others.
i already called directly like you said on the other post, called twice. & they said to be upfront/honest and since I did not mention it on the actual application because my recruiter told me not to mention it(I filled up a form on my swift portal website ,that my recruiter sent me once I told her that I wanted to be honest about my record as a minor too).i don't know if they're going to be able to view that form during orientation before they run my background check. So my first day of orientation ima do the same thing, I'm going to mention it and ask about it before I loss more time in there. The 2nd time I called they told me to listen to my recruiter. But screw that, if I listen to her ,ima be labeled as a liar once they find out that I have a felony as a minor which didn't seal once I turned 18. But thanks for the advice either way

Here's a backup plan for you. Try not to quit your job; tell you boss you need a few days off for personal family business and to deduct it from your vacation time. Then if Swift doesn't work out, you still have your job. The only problem could be is if Swift calls your company for job verification.

Another plan, Goodwill Industries pays for CDL school, free to you. Some schools have weekend/night classes for those who can't afford to miss work while attending school. Many companies will hire you at graduation.

I can't be employed at the time of orientation? Or what do you mean by "problem" with swift calling my employer?

i will look into goodwill and hope it's near by me.

Well then pay for a background check of your own to see if anything pops up.
Then you'll know for sure and have piece of mind.

If you tell your current employer you want some time off for personal/family busines then head over to swift and swift calls your current employer to verify employment .. you will be caught in a lie ..

Did the company review your app yet ?

I went through training at the swift school in phoenix. The first day over half the class was sent home. From what I remember felonies over 7 years have to be reviewed. I also remember that the background check and review process is done before you ever step foot onto the campus. Several of my classmates who remained had past felonies. I think they care a lot about theft more than anything else since we can be carrying millions of dollars worth of televisions, laptops, tablets, smart phones, cigarettes, etc.

Demand from your recruiter to fill out a new application. It is possible. If your recruiter says no then hang up, call there 800 number and demand a new recruiter. Mine was Carina S., and she was pleasant and honest, albeit difficult to get ahold of.

The main reasons for people getting sent home were:
    Failing the physical,
    Failing the drug test,
Not having a license for 1 year,
    Unsettled court cases,
Not bringing a unlaminated social security card,
    Not bringing an h6,
And the most common was having the wrong birth certificate. You need the long form one.

Also study the cdl handbook. My class lost 6 people who failed that test twice.

The accidents wont be an issue as long as you do not get another. The felony shouldn't be an issue either unless you don't get that put on your application so it can be reviewed.

Congradulations on getting your life together.

    chorizo992 Thanks this.

I find this helpful. And I spoke to my recruiter today and told her I wanted to report it, she sent me a "conviction form" though my swift portal,& I filled it up(for the second time already). She said she will forward it to the security department and that they will give me a call once they view it and have a interview with me over the phone. I hope everything goes well and I get it done by Friday ,if not ima have to wait one more week and start on the 25th instead of the 18th. If the 25th gets here and I haven't seen anything going my way, I'll ask for a new recruiter forsure.

Good luck man. If you have any questions feel free to send me a message. There is a pretty steep learning curve in this industry.
