I know people that bought 15k trucks and make good money. You just have to find the right one. Do engine oil sample get the readings from ECM but yes you might have to put a few more bucks in bank maybe. For break downs one friend leased on to landstar with a 17k truck still has same truck last year avg 1.75 all miles and take home pay was .75 mile another bought a 12.5k truck leased on to company in Gulfport, MS and last year avg 1.65 all miles take home pay .82 a mile and home most weekends. What is a swift lease driver get if buying a new truck what is take home pay after everything what .38 to .45 a mile maybe.

Well I believe I'm going to be starting at Swift school in TN a week from Monday. I'll need to get down to our dmv and take the tests. I think I'll go ahead and take combination, tanker and hazmat. Least get the process rolling for the hazmat endorsement. Any words of wisdom from ya'll??? I'm not that far away so I'm going to drive my own vehicle, I just can't stomach bus rides.

So, anyone who's been thru this I'd appreciate correction if I'm wrong. 20 days at TN, then back to SC <home state> to the Greer Terminal for orientation and STATE CDL testing, then straight from there to riding with a mentor?? Out 3-5 weeks with him before I return home??

    Is that close?

About .41 not including the .16 I hold back in my maintenance account.

So to keep all things equal, we would need to know what your friend hold back for maintenance and if he takes that out of the .82 or if it is in addition to.

Also to keeping all thing equal, once my truck is paid off, I'll net another .24 ... so my net will be .65 on a $1.40 gross
