syrup is water soluble. you can soak a few paper towels and smudge it up then pour some straight water on it and sit on a towel for a the next day's driving. Once you get it cleaned up might consider buying some seat covers and slipping them over the seats.

I use a bissel steam carpet cleaner it has an small attachment like for doing stairs ect it works well , it takes a bit to dry when done , speaking of that , I think I am going to buy some seat "covers" so they will catch the spills , and dirt then I could just take them off and through em in washing machine ,

just use some dawn dish detergent, apply right to spot rub in and then soak up with a towel. repeat if needed. it will also get rid of the smell. might as well do yhe whole seat.
