Swift or Schneider?, I've been trying for the past year now to get back on the road, but every time I get ready my wife would have health issue, so then I would stay home to take care of her. She's doing much better now so its time for me to go back on the road. I haven't driven in 2 yrs. Schneider wants me to 3 weeks of classroom training/out with trainer, Swift says only 50 to 100 hrs. with mentor. I need a little help picking the right company

Schneider. Things change and you forget key stuff in 2 years especially with all that you have been dealing with your wife's health issues. Take the time now to really review your knowledge through a classroom situation. 50 hours=4.5 days and 100 hours=9 days (based on 11 hrs a day). Really want to try it with a "mentor" that may have a few months of driving and may or may not cover what you have forgotten (or don't know that you have forgotten) in 4-9 days or get solid on through classroom/trainer over 3 weeks what you need to do the job right. Three weeks goes by fast. Schneider also has more divisions that might work better for you if you need to be close to home. Just my 2 cents worth.

I believe it's one week classroom, next week you go out with a trainer, last week back to classroom. Since I work for schneider....I say schneider

    Hmmmmm. Tough choice.

Split DNA sample, clone yourself twice and send one to each.

Sit on the porch, drink beer and collect the pay check (s).

If you're prepared for the ordeal then either one will get you back in the game.

    Good luck.

Half dozen one, half dozen the other. I think you know where I fall on this. You might get a great mentor, maybe me for those 50 hours

Are you looking to stay with either, or just use em up like cheap harlots? If staying - review 2-5 year pay scale.

Check vacation pay too, and benefits. These add up.
