I have a 64gig card in it. I also drilled a hole in the side of the case and have power to it. I also record at 720.

Yes.. driver was paying attention and moved over however he did not appear to slow the truck. IMHO he could have done more to avoid the collision.

Nice driving. Wonder what was going through the guy in the 4 wheelers mind when he looked up and seen the front of your truck or through his under pants. LOL

If you turn of audio does that 7 hours go up to 10 or so I would think less data more run time. Also can you upgrade the memory for more run time.

It would increase the time a little, but not that much. Audio doesn't take a lot of room.
You can put a larger memory card in. My camera can go as high as 64GB - it comes with an 8GB card.
Many cameras can only use up to a 32GB card, so check the specs.

With my Cobra I need a smart phone app to gain access to advanced features, like setting the date/time or adjusting the format options or the resolution.
    I don't have a smart phone.
If I can get that access I should be able to format the entire 64GB to be used by the looping video mode, which would give me about 14 hours before anything is overwritten.
I could also set it for its highest resolution, which is ~25% better than 1080P. That would also cut down the time to probably 10 hours.

I'm planning to use my daughters smart phone on my next home time to set things up properly.

On the topic of gadgets and showing friends a family. Keeping connected to my family will be a task I know. Wife loves Facebook. . I don't but I will start to use it. My son had a suggestion that I laughed at but then thought about it. I know there will be down time when clock runs out so I will ask this stupid as it sounds. One of the family things we.do here is game night. We have 2 PS 4's and we will play together in online games (Destiny) our current fav. So my son suggested I take one play station and a TV with me. I can hot spot it with my phone and play.. tried that. Can I run a PS 4 on an inverter that swift will allow in there trucks. The ones that plug in lighter sockets from what I hear is all you can have. Anyone ever try this or was my first reaction of this being a stupid idea right.

How much power does it require?
And add in to that the power needed for the TV.

A plug-in inverter can only supply 150W maximum.

If each use less than 150W (but more than 150W total) you could always get 2 inverters and connect them to different circuits - as in, one in the sleeper and one in the dash.

Thanks. BTW... If you get a smart phone. You will Love it. I got a big one and a tablet. Always online always connected. Got over 100 gb memory in both of them. Trashed my last computer 3 years ago.

I don't know. The a calculation for amp to watt but when converting DC to AC it's not so useful. TV is no problem I got one on my boat that is 12v I can use.

Just did the math. Looks like 150W max on the PS4. That would be pushing it with a 150W inverter

I have no intention of ever getting a smart phone.
I like my phone to be dumb and my computer to be smart.

My current phone is a 4 year old Samsung. I don't get online with it, or even text with it.
The only texting is inbound, mainly new load assignments.
And I like it that way.
If I want to talk with someone, I CALL them.

There are no phones currently on the market that I would even consider to replace it.
