    Hello,

I see on Swift's website that they give you 1 day off for every 6 out. My question is, could we stay out for 32 days and take 5 days home time? Or do they have a max cap of home time?

Yup what he said above. I think it depends on the terminal possibly. I know my terminal, I've always gotten 4 days max if I'm out the equal number of weeks. However I was told by someone visiting from Phoenix that the max is 2 days before you have to turn your truck in.

At my terminal I take 4 days off and stay out 5 weeks. I could take more time off but I have to give up my truck if over 4. I'm not giving up my PornStar. We take care of each other very well.

if they held me to that I would've left Swift a long time ago. I'm not gonna be penalized for taking time off for a few days with having to move my stuff out once a month and then take some POS off the yard that is full of filth. Nope!!

i run a lot of miles every week and take good care of my truck. It's my second home.

Of course, if your truck is parked behind your barn, will they really come get it before you go back out? I mean, let's say you go home for 5 days after being out 2 months. Are they going to come to your house and get it, all the time knowing you're leaving sometime that day?

Semi related. I want to put in a home time request but need to pass through a different city first to pick up a rider, is that even possible before I go through the trouble of getting a hold of my driver leader.

Not much is impossible, but you may be asking a little much there. Try to limit how much you require your DL to have to think.

I always take 4 days off . It normally woorks out to 4 and half the day before and after tho. Never once was anything said about handing truck in . Of course I probably would have told them to come get it they feel that way , but my terminal is technically I guess SLC . I live in PA but run a dedicated midwest .

In my case I live within 50 miles of my terminal so I'm required to park my truck there when I go to the house. I take time off in AL every other time and just park the truck and trailer in the front yard. It's a big yard.
