For every opening there are at least 10 applicants, and for every job granted there is a risk.
For every mistake, there is a cost. In CSA points, in equipment damage, in status, ... sometimes in lives.
Swift is often referred to as a 'bottom feeder'. But that is not really the case.
They are a training company, and as such take in the new drivers.
But they don't just take 'anyone'.
Ask anyone, from any orientation, how many were sent home after the first or second day. Even some that graduated the academy didn't make it.
Swift is big on safety, to a fault.
It can be a pain in the back side sometimes, and it can save your backside at other times.
That includes who they put behind the wheel.CuriousG Thanks this. -
Thanks Moose this is good to know. Not afraid of strict with a military and law enforcment background. I'd rather be told exactly what to do than have to guess. However if they ae strict but don't give the necessary info that could be a different story.

Getting the info up front can be difficult. So many secrets...
But if you are clean, you are clean. Period.
In this industry, honesty is ALWAYS the best policy.
Because even if there is something bad in your background, many will work with you if you are open and honest from the start.CuriousG Thanks this. -
