Why cant we fuel at Flying J & Pilot's?

I am just waiting for JPilots to put up "No Swift Trucks, will be towed!" signs. I got another reminder message today about "don't go to JPilot for fuel, we don't use those ######## anymore!" Well something like that

 

I have been using them for years, but then as a L/O I can and I have to tell you that when I do and walk in I am greeted real friendly and told, thank you for your business. I have been told that it clogs the filter but never a problem. But I have also been told my their own drivers that when it comes to winter the manager determines how much treatment to put in the tanks. It is not delivered that way. I have also been told my KW in MN that when it comes to winter, burn Premium since may of the truck stop up there do not place treatment and that the Premium would be better in the long run. Yes a little more but when I am up there I know some of my favorite stop and their premium is the same price as the regular

 

... which ought to make for an interesting winter. Guess one driver was corporate- discriminated against from what he mentioned on the initial fuel thread; didn't provide location though. I'll post any "unfriendly(s)" should I come across them.

 

I guess I have been out of it to long I been reading about the fuel stops What is DEF inquring mind want to Know soon the be out on the road agine

Thank you Luse this is totally new technology I see. the railroad could use this too I live close to the mainline running right next to the Puget Sound every time the engineer has to pour on the coal you can see the exhaust bellowing black smoke. multiply this by 4 or 5 units and the smoke gets pretty thick. Between the Ships on the Sound The Car and trucks on I 5 and the railroad the Puget Sound Basin the air quality sometimes remind me of Smoggy Los Angelis.

 

One thing I don't miss about P/FJ is the long lines to purchase anything. Their computer system seems cumbersome for their employees, that is when they even have enough employees behind the counter during peak times.

 

It is kinda nice to not have to wait in line as long anymore. Went to get fuel today. Petro has no wait. Pilot had them stacked 3 deep to get fuel. I could get used to this....

 

Now that I've had a chance to visit a number of Petro/TA's, I'm starting to like them a whole lot better than P/FJ. Sit down restaurants, movies or TV room with a remote control, most have at least a tire shop, and 50's and 60's music instead of proselytizing. Feels like a truck stop should feel.

As with any chain there's a wide range of cleanliness and service. Some are great and some.... aren't.

 

I don't know but all I'm getting is non stop Loves fuel stops, in fact all have been loves in the past two weeks. I had a few 10-15 min waits, bout the normal thing. Stupid yellow signs with Loves, #### nightmares of Loves, grrr.
