Why cant we fuel at Flying J & Pilot's?

I've had a few at Love's, but mostly TA and Petro.
I guess it depends on the area.

I've never had a problem when I've pulled in to a Pilot or J for a break or to sleep, though I see very few Swift trucks around me.

It's a strange thing to feel like an outcast at any truck stop, but I seem to whenever I need to stop there.

 

It's also interesting that soon after Swift stopped fueling at the Pilot and J's they started new incentive programs.

Get 500 gallons of fuel and get a shower credit every day, is one.

 

I have unlimited showers at Loves now from fueling there so often and I take advantage of it.

If I have to do a "sit down" I go straight to the fuel desk and ask for a key. At least the private bathrooms are somewhat cleaner and I don't have to sit surrounded by creatures making bodily noises and stinking up the place.

 

Soooo you're the reason the wait for showers is so long lol. I like the Loves bathrooms, but seriously, look at the one off I30, exit 230 I believe in Texarkana, TX. 100 plus parking spaces and 4 stalls? Add in the fuel island and 4 wheeler customers, just awful.

 

Yea Loves is all about waiting in line, wait for shower (take a number), need to send a transflo well just wait in line, wait for the Love.

 

I think that's considered foreplay....

 

If I didn't have route and fueling discretion, I think I would lose my mind.

Our fuel discount program cards recently stopped working at Pilot/FJ. Our truck owner encourages filling at TA/Petro and AmBest and Marathon because he gets a nicer discount. I can't say that I miss Pilot or FJ. I barely went to them anyway.

 

Just before that promo they started giving Swift O/O's 10x rewards points as well. The promo was supposed to end last month but they extended it. Swift is combating that by paying us $0.05 per gallon when we fuel at TA/Petro.

 

Just the owner operators? Did the lease operators get the same deal to?

 

Pilot fave me the 10x points too. And I'm a company driver.
