Why cant we fuel at Flying J & Pilot's?

I see what you are trying to get at so let me re-phrase that O/O, L/O, F/O (finance operators),BC/O (borrowed capital operators), and RC/O (revolving credit operators) etc. are getting the 10x rewards are you happy now?

They might have extended it to company drivers right before it all went down. I know they are playing a tricky game of corporate chess right now.

 

As I was waiting in line to purchase a thermos of coffee at a Flying J today (they do have good coffee) I thought of this thread as I waited in line, chomping at the bit to get on the road ...

... for a man and woman to decide whether to get the pizza or the chicken and "Oh gosh! I don't KNOW what kind of sauce to get. What do you think honey bunny?"...

... for a guy to count out fistfuls of change so he could put $8.37 on pump #2 for unleaded...

... for two teenage girls to try to buy a pack of cigarettes...

... for a truck driver to buy enough chicken wings for a week...

... AND for a truck driver that had been waiting through all THAT to get the balky pump on fuel island #21 to get activated.

And after all THAT I paid for my thermos of coffee and was glad I don't have to put up with the long lines at PFJ as much anymore. At least with Love's and TAP you usually have a separate fuel desk and their computer systems seem to have something faster than 8088 processors in them.

 

... Add to that the clerk hunting for the specific brand, flavor and length of cigarette the customer wants.

I buy my coffee by the cup ... I give it so long, then the coffee is on the house.
