Hey all,
I just bought a 2011 Prostar that came from Swift. For all you current Swift drivers, does this truck have a suspension load gauge as part of the electronic dash display? Someone on another thread told me it might. I have the truck parked in Omaha and I'm home in Denver for the next two weeks, so I can't just go out and check the truck for it. If it doesn't have a suspension load gauge, I'm planning on having one installed on Jan. 2nd, but it would be cool if it had one already, just didn't see the traditional dial gauge I'm used to.
Also, in the sleeper, there is a a switch that says "Heat"/"No Idle", I also see the Wabasto dial. I got the Wabasto heater working by putting the "Heat"/"No Idle" switch in the heat position when the truck was off, and turning on the Wabasto heater. I have heat, so I'm not too worried, just wondering what that switch is for or does.
Also, the truck didn't have a engine block heater. That's odd for me. Every truck I've ever had had a block heater. I bought one for $71, I just need to install it or pay someone $400 to install it.
Anyway, help on the suspension load gauge would be great! Thanks!
Just bought an old Swift Prostar, have some questions

I'm not sure how Swift trucks are but, our Prostars, the little heater heats the coolant and keeps the cab and the engine warm.

Probably does not have the suspension load gauge unless it was a Lease op truck and the driver installed one. The company trucks I have driven do not have it.

Does the trip mpg on the program display work? ... if not you have a company truck and the harness and ecm may not support any gauges other than what is currently on the truck ... if it works you have an o/o spec truck and the harness and ecm may support any additional guages as well upgrading the transmission to a 13.

If it has a cool/no idle switch in the bunk it should have a auto start on the dash. When using the no idle features set the autostart. It will start the truck and xharge the batteries.

Does the truck have the Maxxforce engine?
