It is for O/O or L/O...loads not from Swift but from a broker with driver using Swift equipment. Usually all live on both ends.

There is a CSR that interfaces with the broker ... they have two jobs, input the load into the system, committing our truck to the load and then make sure the rest of Swift keeps their hands off our load. Not so much now - as the firewalls are in place -but there was a time when the planners would try to steal our loads and they are still pissed about the fact that we use the broker to self dispatch and they have no control over our truck.NavigatorWife and DocWatson Thank this. -
Mystic, there are some planners in some areas that will never get over being pissed. Like Lancaster and Laredo.
NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
yes, very annoying lol

I was thinking about this thread the last few days. It would be NICE if veteran drivers could "Opt Out" of receiving messages like Trip Planning, or reminders to update your logs, the "You Have Arrived", etc. etc. etc.
While it may be helpful for new drivers, it gets old in a hurry once you've got the routine wired.DocWatson Thanks this. -
NavigatorWife Thanks this.

So you want to be treated like a mature adult driver?
Now, the only question is...
Are you grown up enough for, Granny Goose? -

NavigatorWife, Moosetek13 and dog-c Thank this.

I'll log on-duty for it, and then start my 10 all over again.
If I'm sent a pplan in the middle of my 10 I ignore it until I wake up and can assess it properly.
I don't think it is in the driver manual, or my job description, that I am expected to be on-call 24 hours a day to respond to messages.NavigatorWife and Lepton1 Thank this.
