They should not be calling and you should not have to go to the extreme of of having to call Safety etc to get your rest. I have been looking for another job
and wouldn't you know Swift needs drivers, I wonder why? If Swift wants drivers who want to stay then maybe they should look into their DMs and planners etc.

My phone has an off button, or I can block calls from all but a select few folks. The Qualcomm volume can be turned off. There's really no excuse for allowing yourself to let your sleep get interrupted. It's your responsibility. Don't blame a DM for you not taking responsibility.

OTOH if they send someone knocking on my door when it isn't a flat out emergency, then that's something that would be reported immediately to the terminal manager and safety, going up the chain of command until I'm satisfied with the result. I run hard, log plenty of miles, and have a 100% on time record. There's no reason to be waking me up.

I HAVE received calls during SB from planners that have a hot load when I'm LOOKING for a load. I welcome those calls.

Well, I lost my License and Medical card so they are having someone come and get the truck, how embarrassing. I just have been having a very blah attitude about Swift here lately, if I could get some good loads here and there so I'm not bothered daily then I would be fine but these short runs one after another have just gotten under my skin. I have said before I never wanted to do OTR but it is a necessary evil to get a good local job😔.

so you blame swift for YOU losing your license... You are the typical swift basher, you failed and blame swift for it instead of maning up to the fact you could not hack it. I am a new swift driver and i proved very quickly i will take any load and deliver it with what ever timeframe they give me provided it can be done legally, so now i get runs almost always over 1200 miles and i am getting over 3000 miles a week because i proved i can hack it.

When you get handed a late dispatch and they tell you to get it there as soon as you can do not worry about it being late and you get it there on time they notice. Doing 600+ miles in a day simply because you can in order to finish one load to get to another and they notice. Get short run and cry about it and they notice and give you more short run to see if you are gonna cry more or do your #### job.

So what if swift is a "starter" company its still the biggest trucking company there is, they have more freight then anyone so the only reason you cannot make money at swift is because you are #### lazy. The only people who bash swift are the ignorant tools that have never worked for them or the pathetic cry babies that simply do not want to work.

Eckoh I think she lost them in the sense of they got misplaced or stolen and she has to get them replaced. I don't think she was blaming Swift for that at all. Swift put her on safety hold until that time. I took the driver down to her to recover the truck and got to meet 27butterfly, she did not show me any bad feelings for Swift at all, nor did she blame Swift.

She got put on the Texas Regional fleet, which is well known for short mile trips, I used to be in it until I got the shuttle run. I believe she would do better on the Sears fleet doing the appliance runs and staying away from the tire loads.

27butterfly, it was good meeting you today. Hang in there, keep your chin up, something more along the lines of what you need will come up.

Yeah swift may be called a starter company and its just that for some but I had to leave my last driving job for some medical reasons and had to have a minor surgery and I have plenty of experience but I am really thinking about joining swift. They offered me more pay per mile than many places and I know they won't have a problem getting home to mobile Al.
I don't have a bad record and have been approved other places but I have heard decent things from experienced drivers there.
I think I am going to give them a try working out of the Memphis Terminal.
