so you had a couple of friends there. Since you don't have first hand experience it's still just hearsay. Same ole same ole.
Professing your wisdom on Swift of which you know nothing.

I talked with a recent swift grad a few years ago, he told me going through swift to get a CDL, is the same as getting 20 years driving experience, I couldn't reframe from laughing at him, just don't come out with that kind of ignorance and you'll be fine, the only way to get 20 years of experience is to drive for 20 years, best of luck

@HousTank: Doesn't matter if it's not first hand. Have you eaten #### before? No but you know it does not taste good/isn't good for you, right? I rest my case and this' ll be my last comment, you ol' disgruntled .33cpm making driver. You'll see me on the road blowing your doors off with your governed trucks. Buh bye.

I didn't go to swift accademy, but started with them as "inexperienced" in may. 1 month with the mentor and 2 months OTR solo then landed a dedicated account 15 miles from home. Now 52cpm and home every night. As far as I can tell with all my inexperience, that is a competitive wage. 100% drop and hook park my daycab in my yard and 52cpm... All these morons that bash a company because they plain don't know or plain blew it. Every time I go into a swift terminal there is at least one driver leaving on a bus unhappy, and it is almost always their own doing. You have to know what you are getting into. Things are not always going to be your way, in fact they mostly won't be your way. Keep a positive attitude and be flexible that is the name of the game. If your DM asks for something and you can do it safely and legally then just do it without question and you will soon make your mark.

its still quite obvious you have no clue about the money we make nor anything else about Swift.
I could give a rats ### if you pass me..so what!!..one day I'll pass you while your almighty supertruck is laying in a median. Keep your promise.27butterfly Thanks this. -
Blowing doors off as a LTL driver in Seatac? Yeah. I'm sure I'll you'll blow my doors off somewhere in that 150 mile radius that you base your expertise on.
Swift is a training company. Primarily, they provide experience to new drivers so they can go to greener pastures elsewhere after a year or two, if they wish. As such, a lit of people who aren't cut out to drive wash out. Instead of saying the truth, that they couldn't hack it, they blame swift. Is swift perfect? No. But if you do what they ask, you will be fine, make decent money, and after you put in your time you can move on, or like thousands of other drivers, choose to stay.
Bottom line, it's up to you. Make your own choices, and get your own experience. don't listen to idiots who "had a couple friends" work here. They are full of ####.JOHNQPUBLIC and Don Future Trucker Thank this. -
