I've been with them 1 1/2 years. Its not bad. There are plenty who say it is, many who have never worked for Swift. Its pretty much what you put into it just like anything else. Yes there are things that piss me off at times but my paychecks on time and I make decent money and could make more if I worked weekends. For me its a good fit, I know the system and it works great for me. I haven't drank the Swift kool-aid but really I have few complaints overall

I'm Charlotte local. I did OTR a little over a year. I've had 2 dm's. My otr dm was Rick out of Troutdale and that guy was extremely good. My current dm is pretty good I don't know him much yet but he handles things fine. Equipment is fine, I started with old (Volvo), got brand new(Prostar) soon after. Now back in a new Volvo with an automatic and small sleeper. Some like Volvo's, I don't but I'm stuck with it. If I was otr I woud stand a chance of trading it but local no way. Swift generally keeps up the equipment. Closest terminal for me is Greer,SC so we work out of a drop yard which suits me just fine.

OTR is about 60%ish drop hook both ends... 30% drop or hook on one of the ends with a live load or unload... 10% live load and unload both ends

Sorta depends what side you on west coast it's about 600 miles. East coast is about 450ish. Most weeks I get around 2500 to 2700.

How do you not work weekends? Just curious because I cannot even get my ten without my phone going off and they even went to extreme of having another driver knock on my door. I am still new there and the only reason I came was because I was told the have regional and dedicated accounts but are telling me they don't need anyone right now for that. I finally got upset the other day and asked to change Terminals to see if maybe I would have someone willing to help me and not feel like I'm nothing because I have done several 16 miles, 24 miles and so on loads trying to be helpful and not complain about it and I don't get the same respect by helping me. I was Teaming with a friend but went Solo and still was trying to get the hang of it but I never feel they want to help and only want to tell me to accept and go.( FYI I am new but have been around the industry all my life so I do understand covering my a but still figuring out HOS but I think I got the hang of it now, I feel they don't care if you can do legally or not or get there on time but only care about freight being moved ) Any other thoughts?
