Cool. Tomorrow is D-day for me, last day of orientation and find out if I'm getting a mentor or if I have to wait.

 

Unless you fail a drug test, or lie about your background. They have no reason not to hire you. They need drivers. I know there's a lot of myths floating around about school getting done and them not hiring people....it's b.s.; I'm in an orientation of 30 or so people, with another going on next door.

Orientation is fine, it's just boring sometimes because they have alot of people that they have to make sure get multiple things done. But nothing any person with a little patience can't handle.

 

Yep. Both dismissed and expunged usually mean they're not on your record. I wouldn't worry too much, my orientation roommate supposedly has multiple felonies and they still cleared him... I doubt you're gonna be the one they send home. Lol.

The question usually is if you were "convicted" of a crime, if you weren't convicted, then there is no record. Yes, they do a background check for school, but I think the orientation one is federal. Not sure.

 

Is there still a Navy base in Millington? I went to A school there, just curious if its still around or had been shut down.

 

I think that base has been shut down for years ... went to a C school there in'78.

 

I kinda thought it might have been thanks. I was there in '81, mainly it was just P-3's flying there. And lot of of us Jarheads/Squids for school out of basic.
