I'm considering a swift dedicated account and would like some insight from anyone with experience. I live in Illinois, and was told by a recruiter that there are dedicated accounts open in my area. Can new grads get a direct hire onto these dedicated accounts? Or, perhaps it just depends on the account.

Can any of you share some pro/cons from personal experience?

Some of these may not be swift accounts, if so correct me. If you have any experience with them--please, TELL ME ABOUT IT!

All three are Swift accounts of one kind or another, mostly depends on the location of the distribution center (DC). We may be the favored carrier out of one DC but not at another.

It is possible to get right on to a dedicated after training is complete. Some have requirements stating you must live within a certain radius of the DC.

If you know for sure that you want to do a particular dedicated when you go solo, request a mentor that drives for the account. It will give you a slight advantage when training is done.
