im scheduled to leave for Swift training in Decatur, GA at 8:55 via the Greyhound. However, my family is going to Atlanta tomorrow morning also. Would it be ok if rode with them to my hotel instead of catching the Greyhound, Eden though I already have my ticket confirmation?? I just don't wanna miss my bus and then it turn out to bite me later... Can anybody offer assistance??

Swift wants a warm body in a chair on Monday and thats pretty much all they care about. If your Conscience bothers you, offer to repay the ticket after you get there.

If you can save yourself some bus ticket money, then DO SO!

However, be late for check in, you may need that ticket to get back home.

Whenever I would have to go to any company orientation, I was always told to "check-in" at the motel they have set up for students by x hour on a Sunday, so that I could get a good nights sleep and be fresh EARLY for Monday morning.

Man, am I ever glad my orientation days are all so over with, and Greydog as well!!!!!!!

Now to ask you, if they told you to be there at the motel on SUNDAY, and you get there on Monday, you missed check-in and well, I jokingly said, you may need that ticket to get back home. Frankly, if you ARE SUPPOSED to be there by Sunday night, and you do not show up, one of several things may happen.

The motel room will be given to someone else.

The motel will report that you never showed up.

There may be NO MORE rooms that Swift pays for, available to you, if you show up on Monday morning, meaning YOU PAY!

Swift may send you home, for NOT following instructions.

so YOU be the judge, jury, executioner.

Avoid the bus. I would get ahold of your recruiter though and let them know you still plan to use their rooms if you are not there for check in...although, as long as you are at the first class on time, i dont think they care.

the only reason these companies use buses is bus tickets are reimbursable
as many people as you will see in orientation there are that many didn't show

Op has already left hopefully his family took him there.Anything is better then the long boring uncomfortable bus ride.OP if you already picked up the ticket just give it to Swift in the morning. They'll get reimbursed for it otherwise tell them. They have so many days before the refund expires.
