Meh I would argue that all trucking companies from a single owner operator with his own aauthority, to a mega carrier like swift care about profit per truck or they wouldn't be in business very long.
but honestly the debate about drivers working for a lo cents per mile or owner operator hauling the cheap freight, has been said since the late fifties early sixties. and it won't change until they have trucks that drive themselves. because in a free market (well one can argue that this is not really a free market). will always be a problem.

Drivers that have 1+ years of experience will get an increase of $0.02 per
mile.
This is the part I'm wondering about.
Does it increase .02 after 1 year and just stay there?
Or is it perhaps .02 for each additional year?
?? -
Yeah, it's slightly fuzzy.
I'm thinking its prolly a one-time across the board .02 for everyone with more than a year and the usual bump each year as usual..I guess.
The .02 increase for performance will raise Plats to .05cpm. Will make for a healthy bonus per quarter. -
I guess we'll know when May rolls around just how much extra years of service are worth.
-
I'm wondering how they are going to keep drivers on their dedicated accounts if all these pay raises favor the OTR folks? I would be diamond if I was still OTR.
Sure be nice to be making another 8 cents a mile. -
Moosetek13 Thanks this.

Still, that's another 4 CPM overall for Platinum drivers, 3 for Gold. Diamond are in their own class.
Not bad for a raise right on the heels of the last one, I must say.
The last pay increase was nothing short of incredible, when you consider the sliding pay for lower mileage loads.
I thought we would wait another 5 years for anything better, and Swift just made it nearly again as much better after just 1 year.
As I considered what the increase might be I settled on a .02 per mile. A bit less than the last but not a paltry .01. Right in the middle.
But with the .02 increase for Gold status and above, it really makes for a considerable increase.
That makes at least it on par with the increase last year.HousTank Thanks this. -
Any L/Ps care to indulge what their pay increase was?

wow thats not a raise just like the L/O we get .03 per all miles. not as big of a slap in the face as last time but still one.
