I dunno.
In my younger days it would not be unheard of to go 90 in a 65 zone.
Along those empty long stretches... someplace like Idaho, for example. (I took long drives, just for the fun of it, back then too.)
I didn't consider myself a criminal for it.
I found out something interesting.
In that old 1964 Oldsmobile 98 with the 394 V8, I actually got better gas mileage at 90 than I did at 65.
I guess the engine was in a more efficient RPM range.
I've never been tagged for that high over the limit, however. (I did have 13 speeding tickets before my 18th birthday, though.)
Like I said, that was in earlier years.
I loved to see how fast I could go around corners too.
Driving a truck is way different. It's NEVER about speed, and those types of violations will keep you out of it until they fall off you record.
If a potential employer sees you as any kind of safety risk, well, they will stay being a 'potential employer'.
Back then, I would never have hired me to drive a big rig!
would swift hire me?

Dude everyone in a four wheeler does 20 over
-
no, it's illegal, they shouldn't be doing it
I'Ve never gone 1 over in a vehicle -
Now if you get busted doing 20 over in a 25mph zone that's another ballgame. -
How many roll overs take place going around mountain curves, on and off ramps...
A truck could be going the speed limit or below and still roll.
A driver could try to make up some lost time by going too fast down hill, burn the brakes and crash or burn.
It's more about judgment, perhaps.
Maybe they look for recent recklessness. -

I never went 75 mph over in a personal vehicle. Lol.
lmcclure1220 Thanks this. -
How about: the number of hours we have to wait and not get paid for? Let's put that as a metric and drivers can use that as a disqualifier in making a decision to work for a company or not.

Big question here is if it is a ghost ticket, then why did they find out about it? If there is no record, then no need to tell IMO. Then again, if it is a probation/diversion program that will have the offence expunged from your record upon completion, then you may just have to wait the 9 months then and start over.. and we all make mistakes, just make sure to learn from it I reckon. Good luck.
