Swift Transportation Recognized for Its Trip Reduction Program and ASE Certification

PHOENIX, AZ -- 04/09/09 -- Swift Transportation Co., Inc., North America's Best-in-Class transportation solution provider, was recognized by Maricopa County for the Trip Reduction Program (TRP) implemented at their corporate headquarters. The TRP's mandate is to improve air quality within Maricopa County by reducing employers' and schools' carbon footprint through carpooling and alternative modes of transport to work. Don Diggins, HR Compliance Manager of Swift, is responsible for the program and facilitates the Company's surveys, site audits and program communications. "Swift's employees have made a conscious effort to reduce traffic congestion and to reduce the environmental impact associated with green house emissions through carpooling, public transportation and riding bicycles to work," comments Diggins.

I am so sick of having this carbon foot pint global warming crap shoved down our throats

Fact: over the last 8 years we are on a cooling trend

Fact: the is more ice now at the south pool then we have ever recorded

Fact: the are more scientists do not believe in carbon caused global warming then do only they not funded

Now today with the passing of cap & trade are electric bills will double. Prices of everything will go up because companies will be able to adsorb the costs they will have to pass it on to us and that just the electric part of it .

I am sure the oil refineries will get hit a long with the transportation industry.

Trucking company’s are hurting right now to add the cost of buying carbon points higher fuel end electric costs is going to be disastrous. And for what an old unproven science that isn’t even happing any more. have we gone mad is this change we can believe in or is it just unbelievable.
