1st day is over. picked us up at 6:00am started at 7. good thing they have coffee ready..did drug test and physical. no workwell test. watched movies and did paperwork all day. I did more paperwork for swift then when I went in the air force. day was over at 4:45. then back to hotel. not much around here to eat within walking distance. denny's next dooer and an italian place across the street. McD's about a 15 minute walk.. couple places deliver. they gave us pizza for lunch today. subs tomorrow. got our com data cards today. we should have our driver number on thursday. thursday should be over about 10:00am. we have to bring everything from the hotel to the terminal thursday am. they want to have us with out mentors then. hope it all works the way they say. they want you to be ready to go out for six weeks when you get here. let you know soon how everything else goes.

Driving test was just about 20 minutes and all they wanted was to see if you were safe basically keep it between the lines and stop at stop signs. I wasn't behind the wheel since the beginning of april. Missed some gears down shifting but that was ok. didn't have to back up for the test.

day 2 was more movies. then they went over what training would be like. the afternoon was about log books.

talked to my mentor on the phone about 5:30. I will meet him at a rest stop on Mass pike saturday afternoon. they will have to give me a ticket home and I will spend friday night there. I will meet him about 20 minutes from my house.

I'll let you know what happens in the future.

Didn't get a day at home. They got me a ride in the direction home with a driver going that way. While we were on the MA Pike my mentor called and he was about 20 minutes behind us. I got left off in a service plaza and he picked me up there. That was last Thursday and it is now Monday. He is a driver on a dedicated target account. We have been running Wilton, NY to Maine everyday. Sometimes to Augusta, sometimes to Biddeford. Once in a while we have to pick up a load of water for the return trip, for the target dc. Now we are waiting to pick up our trailer at 2:30 and I am driving to Augusta from here, about 7 hours. been doing most of the backing, 2 a day. into the door at target and sometimes between 2 trailers at the dc. been going eveyday since I have been on the truck and we are scheduled out until thursday. Augusta today, haverhill ma tommorow, bedford nh wednesday and back to augusta thursday. we do augusta three days a week.

good luck brent.

let you know what's happening soon. probably just be more of the same for the next 5 weeks.
