    Truck swift training

Been driving straight truck for a year now. Want to get class A but don't want to shell out the 3,000+ dollars for private classes. Been reading the threads and aside from the normal training does Swift show you how to chain up. Never had to do it. Also I have family in TX and NY. Can I chose to split home time between the 2 terminals?

There is a chain class that you can take, but you aren't required to. However... if a person were sitting at the bottom of a pass and DOT is forcing them to put chains on to continue, and they message their DM to say that they don't know how to put them on, they shouldn't be surprised when the DM responds that they had better figure it out and/or service fails them for the load if it delivers late.
