Dump trucks vary in configuration and the amount of weight they are allowed to carry from one state to the next. IMHO I don't really see how you can gather any useful information from this thread without listing what type of equipment you have and how much you're hauling. Those who respond need to do the same so you're comparing apple to apples.

tandems are 65-70,tri axle 70-80 & quints 80-100. the rate depends if it's a state dot job,or private contractor.

I work for a union shop and they charge right at $95 per hour for our bobtails, all are 4 axle trucks and gross at 55,500. I am in Oregon.

The jips get $75 an hour, that is one of the reasons you will never see us on site on one of OUR jobs that has Davis Bacon pay. They will let us hall and dump and leave but not work on site. Sorry about that..lol

It will vary depending on where you are at. Once you get your price set and such some cutthroat is bound to come in and run $5-$10 dollars a hour cheaper than you. Or someone will get the idea to 'broker' dump trucks taking around $5 dollars off of the normal hourly rate, thinking he is doing you a favor. I could go on and on about this. Here we've been getting $75 or maybe a bit higher kinda trying to keep up with fuel.
