I have completed my training sessions and all went well
Just applied for my TWIC card and should be getting it soon..
got my first pay check friday and term manager said sorry but they will get bigger soon I checked out how much I brought home and for as few days as the check was for it was much better than expected even for just an oreientation and 2 days training...I go on my first solo run Sunday LOL no more trainer...I have to say that THESE guys take training very seriously...no matter how much experience you have you will STILL go through training..All in all I have to say atleast so far I am happy with my desicion to take this job...
Just a few things here I never had to deal with before.
    1 qualcom
    2 electronic logs
    3 governed truck 68mph
4 super singles all the way around..but I understand this choice as weight reflects on pay check.

Pay is a % and weight is included in the rate. The more weight the higher the rate. We haul elevated temp products.

I see the trucks all the time. I pull a bulk tanker localy and my truck has super singles to. E logs use to that and my truck is set at 65 so no problems there. How is the home time?

Haven't been with them long enough to comment on home time but in the 2.5 weeks I have been there only slept in the truck twice and that was just this week.

i think they must run pretty regular into the port in ft. lauderdale, fl. usually day cab pete with the hot temp. tank. i would assume they must go in there to load, but not sure.

    Lol for real
Now when I hear they got a "hot" load for me, it's for real.
I'll tell you this. After 23 years of pulling a dry box and 3 weeks of a tanker. I don't think I'll ever pull a dry van ever again. I am loving this tanker yankin.
