ain't that the dang truth. for the past 20+ years i've been pulling a reefer, hopper bottom, or livestock. hoppers & livestock haulers acknowledge each other & etc. dang van or reefer won't even bother to look @ u. it's PATHETIC what this industry is going to

most milk-haulers i know run illegal... just heard someone i know rolled-over his rig while pulling a milk tanker... totaled everything... most likely speeding and the surge got him.

There's a difference between running heavy and running fast....

I know I went with my buddy today hauling some milk and they put the weight on but what a gravy job it was.

So...on the up side, hauling milk is job security and the folks are friendly....on the down side, may have to run illegal at times and may not be home very much. Isn't running illegal a choice? Don't I have the right to say "no" and not to run illegal? Or does that mess up the job security? :biggrin_2554:

I'm just taking a shot in the dark, but you have to empty that farmers tank so he can do his next milking therefore you would have to remove his milk and not have the option to deny half of it due to being over weight.

I think most milk hauling around PA is local type work.

Nothing wrong with doing it legal...Just keep in mind that milk doesn't last forever and neither will your job security if your dicking around and it goes bad...

See where I'm going with this ? LOL

like i learned when i first started driving; do what u gotta do to get the job done right, rest when it's over or when ur able to

had 1 employer tell me to throw the d a m n log book out of the window & get going; not many companies operate like that anymore; just my opinion but the blame should fall on the ones who don't know what they're doing, no respect for other drivers (driving in the truckstop like they're @ the daytona 500, etc), elogs, & i could go on & on, no more REAL trucking companies out there as well as very few REAL truck drivers left
