Usher Transport, Louisville KY
im new to the site. so im looking for some info. im an owner operator. i have my truck leased on to a power only company and i make pretty decent money. usually 8-9 grand a month bring home. but ive been thinking of going more local and leasing on to Usher, pulling tankers. i talked to a staff member and he said anywhere from 3-6 grand a week gross. and id be home alot. so my question is, is it worth it? and does anyone know of anyone else thats leased on there? i just need some info before i leave my current company. so anything at all is appreciated. thanks.

Good, solid company. Mainly gas but also chemical & explosives. Rates obviously vary depending on area. Very safety conscious. Where are u located?

Little bit of everything out pf Cattlettsburg: gas, chemical & I believe the explosive part is near there also. Long and short hauls.Usher does not have a very high turnover, good $. The $ they told you is right. The $3k may only be on 1k miles ,+/-. Gas work is usually low miles(not always )

Fishhook do you have any info about being a owner-operator in Lousville. Hours worked, days worked, time spent loading and unloading, age requirement of tractor, weekly gross and miles to get that. I am looking at coming off the road and buying a daycab. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Gas usually takes 10-20 min to load ( depends on rack) and 30-40 to unload( depends on location) No age requirement , but must pass their inspection and they are through and picky. Miles and gross vary, same with hours, usually must work 1 weekend day ex: Sun -thrus or Mon - Sat for your week. No clue as to how Louisville runs/operates. Running local ya Gotta have a different mindset vs otr , forget the more miles more pay, think less miles more pay .
