    Sand in west va

Todays my first day hauling sand in, wv. Loaded up at 7am, drove 39 miles to a staging area, then got escorted to the next staging area, lots of hills and small roads, not too bad though, there are about 18 sand cans up here, the well got shut down last night. Might be here all day and night now, we will see. Thought id post a bit about my experience, this is my first gas well job, interesting so far, lot of sitting, lm on detention so i guess ill have a nap and get paid for it, lol. Gonna be a long day!

How much are you getting paid in detention? Is it straight hourly or some sort of schedule to remove 10 hour breaks? Some of our O/Os make $30-40 an hour to sit. Sounds like you have a good check cooking. Doubt you could order a pizza up there though.

Oh yeah, when we got shut down in the water trucks in WV we ordered a pizza one time, it sucks sitting all day in a daycab though!

Wasnt to bad, the pad is real tight, they unload 5 at a time here. Going to reload and deliver around 5 tonight, and then to the TA. Things change fast up here, they gave us last evening off, had dinner and took a nap, got up at 130, blaa, loaded up, got to the stage area about 5 this morning, 12 trucks ahead of me and they are gonna frac after shift change so about 6 hours to sit and then reloading this afternoon and heading back to stage, that could always change from now till then, the sitting is a bit boring, but everyone is laid back so im enjoying it so far....

I've seen a lot more guys from Texas up here lately, just within the last week I've seen a ton of Pete's running for a company called Tim Allen Trucking from Kilgore, TX, they kind of act like they own the place when they come up here. It will be interesting to see how they adjust to the conditions when the white stuff starts falling at some of these well locations.

Interesting 24 hours, went to unload at the pad yesterday around 1400, 6 of us were up on the well pad. We had to wait for the crew to frac before we could unload, middle if fracking the ECM went and they had to shut down. 120 tons of sand sittin on the pad, they decided to have us split our loads into all of the cheifs, so we could unload and lucky me... I got to go last, lol... Got unloaded at 1100, went and fueled up and took a shower and reloaded. Back to the staging area about 3 this morning. The new ECM will be here.in 2 to 20 hours, then they can frac and we can start unloading.
Just a side note, 6 schneider orange trucks were loading sand lastnight for another well pad, my buddy and i asked one if he needed any help, because we help evveryone up here, and he said, no. He was not allowed to get help from anyone up here except for his trainer. So much for lending a helping hand.
