Hey guys! anyone who run system and drive flat top sleeper do you like it?? especially " pete" is there enough room?
-
I'm 6'1" run system freight and drove a flat top Pete my first year. It wasn't that bad. It was lighter than the stand up I'm driving now so it was easier to load low density products and still axle out legal. The extra room is awesome but does have that drawback.

My first truck here was a Pete 379 flat top. Loved the truck only for the engine, Cummins N14 redtop. Sleeper was too small for my taste. The KW T660 I had next was great as far as bunk size went, cab was narrow and engine tiny, ISM 11L. Current rig is Freightliner Columbia, sleeper is still flattop but more room than a Pete.

Do you have a bunk heat ? Or you idle your truck ?
-
I idle my truck unless the weather is perfect.

My truck has a bunk heater and fresh air blower. There are idle allowances, hell, u can idle all u want unless u want ur monthly bonus. Of course if you go way over the normal you will get a talking to.

I'm considering coming to A&R as an owner/op. Do they have any rule on age of truck and do O/O's run the system? Also what is average miles/week for O/O? Thinking Jeffersonville for home terminal as I live in Indy. If there are any O/O's out there that would talk with me on the phone I would appreciate it. Let me know. Thanks.
