What answer are you looking for?

Isnt every company guy wishing they would hear: Yes, it is $70,000 per year salary - 12 hour shifts/ 6 days a week (you choose your shift); 5 days off every 24 days; paid and off on holidays; paid medical/dental/vision; 10% 401k match; 5% company stock; 3 weeks vacation per year with option to rollover 1 week for 3 consecutive years; 25% match on out of pocket medical/dental/vision expenses; you choose and pick your truck; new driver = new mattress; idle all you want; we'll fix any mechanical within 24 hrs; truck is governed at 67mph and does NOT have the anti-collision system; log/ drive legal using the most sophisticated QUALCOMM (never have to keyboard/no manual nor voice input required, ever; you can contact the customer directly and you tell them when you're gonna be there. Or then again, maybe he/she just wants to hear the truth : "Look, you're barely gonna make $36K this year; you'll have to find and pay over $60 for medical/dental/vision per week per person ; we'll deposit $1.oo for 401k per month; you cannot idle at all, you'll have to start out with our worst truck, we don't provide roadside maintenance, you're governed at 59mph, you have to use peoplenet and keyboard everything plus you have to keep paper logs too; shifts are rotating and change daily; for every time you log less than 70 hours, you'll loose at least $20 per hour in missed loads; you'll work about 90 hours per week but we don't want you to log more than 69, ever! Never drive more than 10 hours a day, but make sure you always arrive 25 minutes early; ------ anyways, what is the question(s) you want answered? and what kind of answer are you looking for?

The recruiter could not tell me what is average 1st year pay or what I cld expect to make a month if everything is in tandem. That's scares me considering I would have moved to Houston for the offer. That's was all the info I really wanted since becoming aware of future tanker jobs that can be quite lucrative. Know I will pull a dry van till I get the experience to pull tank.

Who was the recruiter?
-
That won't help I just know she was a lady.

You don't need dry van experience to pull a tank...in fact I have seen more than one former van driver fail the driving portion of tanker yanking, and have to go back to vans. Walk on the wild side, if ya want to pull tanks, go right to tanks. Learn to pull tanks before you pick up all those nasty van habits. MHO

After doing a little research, I found out that Service Transport and Gulfmark are both owned by Bud Adams - so I doubt that many old-school Oilers fans drive for them.
