Well since no one else is going to give you any terminology I'll try to remember some Its been many years since I pulled tank but here are a few things I remember

    Types of tank
    1. shotgun, smooth bore, neck breaker, or thermas bottle usually food grade no baffles product can slosh around giving you the serge you were talking about.
    2. suicide, Banana usually carries fuel or chemicals Some with baffles some without almost all Explosive.
    3. Gas bottle, usually someone pulling LP gas or LOX or any other liquidized gas.

    tank terms
Dome the top fill point or points of the tank
belly line or lines used with gravity or pump to empty tank

there are many more but right now they wont come to mind if I remember them I will put them in the thread

They require a year experience so you'd pretty much have to be 22 .
It's been a while since I worked around Atlanta so I'm not really up to date on info there .
I know the owner of the Chattanooga affiliate is good to work for .
They only accept applications online .http://qualitydistribution.com/drivers/work/default.aspx

Always vent a tank before unloading or washing inside, if not it will create vaccum and suck in the tank walls.

    O.K. More terminology
Top load - Reload more of the same product without washing the tankm
Heel - Product left in the tank after a delivery . Excessive heel can be very expensive at a tank wash .

That last car just piled on in. What an epic explosion that would have been if it was gasoline.
