I know his thread is kinda old but iv really been considering a mixer driver job. Does anyone have info on Robertsons ready mix? I know they hire rookies. Iv hear starting pay is around 16 to 17 an hour. Any other companies in Southern California that hire noobs? Thanks guys

Any info on Dolese Bros. Co out of Oklahoma? I'm applying for a driving job with them Monday if there really is an open driving position.

It's always been a solid stable company last I heard. I believe they start their drivers anywhere from $15 to near $18 an hour, as it varies by location. -
Hey some help here what are the HOS for a concrete mix if you run local? In TX
-
I'm pretty sure it's still 14 hours, but someone in my company came up with 12 somehow so that's what we go by. It's not enforced by anyone at the company, but you have the choice to leave after 12 and no one can say anything. I will usually run 14 but I try not to go over that. Its easier for us to get away with running over hours though, because DOT would have to go the the plant and pull your time card to verify your hours.

But we're the only ready mix company around here that actually pays attention to HOS. The rest work till they're done. "Don't like it? Walk out the gate."

Thanks for the info... I probably do the 14

More than likely. Who do you work for?
