I got my start in a mixer truck about 11 years ago. Had a old beat up Mack 2 sticker with no air conditioning. That first summer just about killed me, was 57 years old and came out of a desk job. Hated it when the workers wanted to use all your water, not to mention when you had to get in the drum and beat the build up off the fins.
All in all, not too bad a job, moved over to end dump, and now doing concrete pipe on flats.
And RETIREMENT about 6 months away.

I drove an 8 yard rear discharge. being new driver they gave me the junk truck. it was an Autocar and I slowly got it back to decent condition
to this day I still miss that Autocar. loved he job as far as driving part cause I got to raise hell on the dirt roads to the chicken farms new slabs and out of the way construction sites.
but fighting the parasite mud is work, especially if you piss off the batcher and they cover your truck up for payback

    mje Thanks this.

I'm thinking about buying myself a dump truck. Not to work with, but to ride around in and pick up women. when I get finished with them, I'll just dump them.

Okay so I just found out that Drake materials not only preventing my Husband from obtaining employment but they have also tried and have prevented at least 2 other previous employees from obtaining employment and I found an AZ state statute regarding this practice

23-1361. Blacklist; definition; exceptions; privileged communications; immunity
    A. "Black A. "Blacklist" means any understanding or agreement whereby the names of any person or persons, list of names, descriptions or other means of identification shall be spoken, written, printed or implied for the purpose of being communicated or transmitted between two or more employers of labor, or their bosses, foremen, superintendents, managers, officers or other agents, whereby the laborer is prevented or prohibited from engaging in a useful occupation.

    B. It is not unlawful for a former employer to provide to a requesting employer, or agents acting in the employer's behalf, information concerning a person's education, training, experience, qualifications and job performance to be used for the purpose of evaluating the person for employment. It is not unlawful for a school district to provide information received as a result of a fingerprint check required by section 15-512 to any other school district if requested to do so by the person who was the subject of the fingerprint check. A copy of any written communication regarding employment must be sent by the employer providing the information to the former employee's last known address.
