Looking for Info on crude companies

Also weatherford is too school in the state and really nice town I would prefer to live there over elk or clinton

 

Ok...let me know what your impression is of Sunoco...have you talked to any of the drivers there? Also Plains has a yard in elk city did u apply there?

 

I just started with sunoco in elk city last week. so far, so good. great equipment, great people. pay is pretty decent too. .52/mile (all) and .24/barrel. they do have different pay rates for different things such as safety meetings, break-downs, training. awesome benefits. bcbs. delta dental, vsp. looking at around $350/month for full benefits with spouse and 1 child. 401k, profit sharing, safety bonus. $3000 relocation bonus.

i am originally from altus, ok, about an hour away. last year i got a job with pacer energy in sayre and i moved my family to elk city. wife didn't want to live in an apartment so the only thing we could find was a townhouse and it was 1585/month. i quit pacer back in april and we moved back to altus. we own our home here, so i will probably be staying in altus now. wife doesn't have much desire to move back to elk city. one of the other drives moved from altus to elk city and got a nice apartment for $685 one bedroom.

we just started a 5/2, 5/3 schedule this week. they have had 4 drivers and 4 trucks for most of the year. last month they hired 2 new guys. and i started last week with another new guy. so now they have 8 drivers and they have another truck ready to bring on, just needs tags. not sure how they are working it out, but i guess they know more than i do. i have heard mention of a night shift as well.
