I have applied to several crude hauling companies in Texas this week and am now waiting on processing. I have applied at Mission Petroleum, Alan Ritchey, Ulm Oilfield, and Sunoco logistics. I've had some positive feedback on Mission and am looking for feedback on any of the others. I'm new to crude and tanker but all these companies will train for it. I've been driving for a few days (19yrs) and had some fun. Looking to do the crude shuffle for about 5 years if the boom lasts that long and then hang up the keys for good! any feedback will be greatly appreciated!
Looking for Info on crude companies

I have no first hand experienc with any of these companies. However i have heard Sunoco Logistics is a good outfit. I have also heard the exact opposite of ULM.
Take it for what its worth.Bigdrmz Thanks this. -
Thank you for the reply. I knew nothing of Ulm but a little of Sunoco. They sound good on the phone and I'm scheduled for an interview next week with them. We will see and I will update this thread for those who may be interested. Keep on truckin'!

Are you strictly wanting to stay in texas? I am going into a meeting this week coming and if all goes well i am gonna be looking to hire a couple guys pretty quick also. Our shop and offices are in Oklahoma city, OK.

I'm open to relocation for a SECURE and high paying crude job. However, I have NOT hauled crude before. I'm a seasoned driver with 19 yrs experience with a spotless MVR and consider myself an asset to anyone willing to take the time to properly train me in the crude business. I'm open to offers, yessiree!

Well typical requirements are obviously tanker, hazmat and at least 3 years driving a tanker.

Thanks Dropy, there are several companies out there that are willing to train drivers to haul crude and I have apps in with most of them, just waiting on the processing to be done. Good luck to you in your endeavors. I'm still looking for info on Sunoco and now Sentinel out of OKC. They haul for Phillups 66 and sound attractive. Anyone with personal knowledge of these companies I would greatly appreciate feedback. Keep it shiney side up!

We are also courting Sunoco and several other companies up here. Will let you know what happens from our end.
