Lazy. lol They get paid by hour so are in no hurry to get out of racks. Mostly good guys. In DFW drive PacLease Petes. Nice rigs. Seem to do a lot of odd ball customers. Don't see them at the large chains much. Nothing bad to say except hurry up and move.

You know now that you mention it you are right. You dont see a lot of dupre at "normal" places. But they do have nice equipment.

I work for dupre in little rock. It's a good company to work for. Always in running for safety awards. Lots of good people with in. Pay varies between markets so you need to inquire with the TM about that. They will give you raises in the first couple of years but then after that the raises are so small that they don't even keep up with cost of living increases. Expect to work on holidays and to not have much vacation ever. All things considered I would not want to work for any of our competitors over Dupre. Hourly pay makes the experience less stressful on days that aren't going according to plan. Good luck.

There are those days that hourly would be better. Only had 2 in 3 months but still a pain. We can get paid for being sent to racks with no allocations and such and do. But it is only about $12 hr. I prefer the % pay we get but there are days where hourly will work out better. We do get 50% of any detention which is good=and rare. Most of our customers have stuff clean and ready. There is on RaceTrack we do for Energy Dispatch that is a royal pain. But it is normally done by one of our owner opps. He loves it and makes $200 for driving 20 miles. Costco, QT, freight lines, rental car places are always easy to get into. Some Murphys are Hell. Others are great. Not a lot of planning there. QT plans all their stores well.

I know that sometimes the money works out better for drivers that are paid by the load. What I like about hourly pay is not that I think I get paid more. It's that I don't have to think about it at all. I know exactly how much I'm earning an it is not affected by conditions that are out of my control. For me, I find it prevents me from stressing out over every little delay and from constantly trying to figure out how much I'm producing tonight. I can spend my time day dreaming about big tits and fantasy football instead.

    Big Duker Thanks this.

We have enough work always that no one has to worry about getting loaded. And no one pushes you at all which is nice. Deliver what you want and go home safely and you are ok. Some of the guys do try and rush and get that extra load a night and many of them have gotten bitten in arse. Several banned from running QT loads because of cross drops and inputting bad info into computer system. We have a few ex Dupre, Gemini, Coastal, Groendyke drivers and they all have a few of ours. Everyone seems to wind up where it works out for them. All pretty good people. Except Frontier in Dallas. Those guys are always in hurry and always mad about something. LOL They get locked out all the time for pissing off rack operators. Always trying to go faster and break some rule. And always getting called in and shown video of their crime. LOL
