Where are you located? Wherever you are, you can go with your local food grade tanker outfit or with (my personal preference) a cement hauler in your area - Lafarge, Cemex, Vulcan, Argos, Titan are the big multinational outfits. There will be someone in your area. Maybe even a mom and pop shop. Good luck! I think its a good move. I did it and didn't regret it.

Foodliner is good and not hazmat.
Indian River Transport is not hazmat.

Food grade is great. Worked for IRT. They leave you alone, have nice trucks and most trailers are new as well. Food grade tanks have no baffles and can really beat you to death until you get your shifting in sync with the surge. IRT have no pumps, hoses etc. I only opened my dome at one location and it was a calf ranch I delivered calf formula to.
Good luck, any questions ask away. I may be returning to IRT, also check out Ruan.

Where are you located? Most of my (limited and usually wrong) knowledge is in the chemical side, which typically requires hazmat, but my company also owns Carry Transit, a food grade company.

If it were me, I'd try my hardest to come up with the cash to get hazmat. I know it's expensive, but it will open many more doors for you.

Hazmat is a sound investment at 86.50, it opens up a lot if you are pulling tanker.
