Oh yes one of the best companies to haul fuel for. Pay is 27.50 to start union company I think you get ot after 40. You will get a big pay check just have to go to their main nj office to fill out a app. Bring your license twic card dot card and good luck cause they are hiring..

Prospect is the best fuel hauling company to work for in the NJ/NYC area. NJ drivers are not union and get paid by the load. Don't let that fool you tho. Load pay is great and your weekly loads are calculated into an hourly rate. Once you have your hourly rate you receive time an half pay over 40 hours. I worked for this company just under a year. I averaged about 60 to 70 hrs/ wk. My average hourly rate was around $24 to 26/ hr. Melissa and Charlie jr are probably the best owners any driver could ask for. John Ondroff handles the hiring and is a pleasure to deal with while going thru the hiring process. This company looks out for its drivers and will bend over backwards to help any driver having difficulties at home or while at work. I hated leaving them but I had an opportunity to get out of a truck and take a state job. If I had to drive again I would definitely wish to drive for prospect again. Don't walk...run to this company and apply. Don and Erik are the lead trainers. Awesome guys! I miss working for them.

Thanks for the info.. I heard very good things about them also. I apply there a few weeks ago but never heard from them.. I think it because of a speeding ticket in my car over 15mph.. I will try again once the time has passed and it no longer counts against me..

You should give them a call and ask if your driving record is preventing you from being hired. You need to speak to John. He is the operations manager and is in charge of hiring. It can take a month or longer for them to respond. Always a good idea to call and ask I they received your application. New drivers start out by driving nights and you get split days off. You can swap days tho to get two days off in a row when needed. Good luck!

thanks I will give them a call its been less then three weeks

Also what's the most loads you've done in one day there?

Are they using all 12000 gallon trailers?

The trucks look well maintain.. What about the trailers?

NJ drivers don't use 12's. We usually do 4 to 6 loads per shift. If you work on your day off you run ethanol back and forth from Citgo in linden to cononco terminal. That's a nice easy $450 bucks for the day. Most trailers are in great shape. Tractor are all 10 speed Macks. A bit low on power but I always made money so it didn't matter so much to me. 99% of the trailers are 4 compartment all air as well. A few have cables for the internals. Sucks when a cable breaks!
