Whats the diffrence and why does it matter

    Hi im from Tulsa Oklahoma and I recently moved to Jacksonville Florida and I see that Florida has a certain type of dump trailer and Oklahoma doesnt whats the extra 5ft metal tounge on Florida trailers for and is it legal to bring an oklahoma 28 & 32 yard (construction trailer specialist) type trailers to florida and run them or do i have to add the 5ft metal tounge to the trailer to be legal any one on here can help me

    You are probably referring to the length of the trailers. 5 feet added to get the outer bridge length long enough to scale more. Plenty of single axle tractors pulling dump wagons, and they need the length to gross more.

    yep. shorter bridges can't haul as much as longer bridges.

    Thanks why dont they just run standerd tandems axel trucks or is that a law

    Some of them run single axle tractors, claim in the long run they net more money. Fewer tires, better fuel economy, one less rear to replace, lower mt weight, etc.
