I carry a baggy full of carrots or celery....then crunch the night away! If it gets really bad then I pull over and power nap.

If I get to work tired I'll use an ECA stack...but not often.

ECA Stack is Ephedra, Caffiene and Aspirin.....It costs about .40 cents a dose from WalMart......drink LOTS of water when you do that though.

A good nights sleep. I am up at 3:30am but in bed by 8:30/9:00 pm. If ou are still tired than yea get out of the truck walk around for a bit and/or take that 10 min power nap.

Ah heck, put the cruise control on. Take seat belt and put strap through bottom part of steering wheel (bungee cord will work too) click seat belt, take nap for like 20-30 mins. Wake up, undo seat belt or bungee cord and continue down road works great

Then, again....a ten hour day in a crude tanker would be a very short day....no need to do anything!

Wouldn't using a bungee cord be against dot regulations?...lol

If your hands are on steering wheel while sleeping Leo won't see bungie cord. Just make sure you hook it all together without a Leo watching, and if it's day time be sure to wear those dark sunglasses much harder to tell if ones eyes are closed.

Now if you really want to freak people out goto a tattoo shop and have them tatoo eyeballs on the back of your eyelids, then when your eyes are closed it will still look like they are open, then one wouldn't need the sunglasses at all. Think it's like a little pain and 50 bucks will get the job done for someone

Good advice. Baby wipes are great. Wash your face and hands. All those oils from your face gets in your eyes and brings on the heavy eyelids.

He said he wanted to get through the last couple miles not stay up for 3 days by popping a molly or 500 miles chewing on a toothpick.

I'm green at class A but I drove coaches and this seems like the sensible answer to me.

This will sound nuts but pull over, take super deep breaths (as deep as you can) and exhale them slowly. After taking about 7 or 8, get out and walk around your truck a few times. It is all about getting a rush of oxygen back into your blood stream and brain. It works faster and better than caffeine, and you don't get the jitters after.
