that makes much sense now.thank you.correct me if am wrong .Does that also mean that the person is not making money going back deadhead .you are only making money when loaded since being on percentage pay .

With % pay no need to count your miles, I run between 18-2200 mi. A week which is usually about $ 11-1400.00 aweek, placarded loads pay quite a bit more

Companies pay a premium for reserving trailers like that. The rate they are charged reflects that and since you make a percentage of that rate you are paid to come back.

Its not a bad thing to do though for comaprison purposes between companies. Take your hub miles for the year and divide by gross income. Every year I have done that with Superior it comes out to about .57 CPM working less than 250 days per year.

pulled for them.............sure some paid great............then no back load and LOT'S of deadhead miles. Or get to Kalifornia and wait 3-6 days till your starving to death. Maybe your terminal had a better deal...........?

I am surprised no one has told you about the "Secret incentive" of tanker hauling. Ahhhh the tank washes, yes a wonderful oasis with fountains and girls in bikinis pampering you while your tank is cleaned. That's the real reason tanker drivers love what they do...........It's not always about the $$$$ but sometimes the little "perks" of a job make it all worth while !

I run regional and everything I do is dedicated, out loaded and right back mt. Same product same tanks. So no tank washes and no waiting for a load.
You'll never find me in California, Kansas is about as far west as I go
