I was wondering because you was a passenger in the accident did that hurt your possibilities for finding a job hauling Gas and Oil? Just Curious Seems some companies make up there own rules..

I can't imagine why it would hurt my chances I was the passenger .

I have over 17 years class a driving under my belt and never not one accident either in a truck or a car.
I also have a.perfect psp -csa score so my safety record speaks for it self .

hyetactical, I feel your pain brother, LOL! I dealt with JPN years ago, they were brutal and continue to be. Most guys hate their job there, but they're stuck.

Have you tried Dead River Company in Bucksport yet? Good company, good equipment, decent wages. Another one would be H.O. Bouchard in Brewer I believe they are. Another comes to mind is P&H Transportation in NH. They're known as "Poor & Hungry" all over this neck of the woods, so I'm not sure how the pay is to be honest.

Stay away from the "Big Indian" too by all means, They speak with "forked tongue".

Wish you luck, they're all the same in a lot of ways.

    tom .

thanks for your email I tried to respond but I don't have enough posts to respond to your email LOL.

P and H just offered me a job 19.00 an hour with over time after 40 . I think I am going to jump on it .

I heard about the Indian pay sucks and works you like a dog .

ho bouchard is not looking for drivers and there pay sucks even more .

as for noonan there is a lot more going on then I can say . I will say I have a interview twice with the Maine State Police and once with the district attorney. when that trainer rolled the truck the third axel

was up because it was not working . I have a whole list of safety violations and equipment that I was told to run with them in 2 months time that was technically out of service but they insisted I run it anywa
I swear I will never seen a company's this bad about safety and when you consider that they haul fuel with Ratty junk equipment it scares the Jesus out of me !!

Don't hesitate "H"...I'd jump on the P&H job ASAP, they've come up in pay quite a bit since I talked to them a while back, and they have a lot of work and decent trucks and trailers too.

The "Green Fleet" is an amazing phenomenon to me, how they remain in operation. They're so desperate for help they've been hiring newbies out of schools and they've been having some real issues with that besides their safety rating being in the toilet.

H.O.B. as you said, doesn't have a reputation for overpaying anyone for sure.

Let me know how you make out...hope it works out for you.

That's excellent H, I hope you're all set. Don't stress over the taking the truck home deal. I have only worked for outfits that allow that myself, due to the fact that I'm too stinking far away from civilization to drive anywhere to work anyways. I've loved it for many years taking a company truck home, because I always kept it clean and fixed the little stuff that I liked to do my way, and the bonus is...NO GASOLINE to burn or wear out your own car going to work! That's a big savings at the end of the year boy. Just find someplace safe to park your rig...town barn...etc. Don't be against having to pay a few bucks out of your own pocket per month to do that either.

The job I just left, we all had trucks at home...the guys still do everywhere in New England. Once the company got bought out, the first thing they did was refuse to pay for existing truck parking. A bunch of guys quit over it. I convinced several of them to look at the bigger picture. They only pay $100.00/month to park the entire rig WITH a plug-in for winter. How much gas and wear & tear on your personal vehicle are you going to have at the end of the month if you're driving 10-15 miles or more each way per day...? Way more than $100.00/month for sure. So the point is, if you find a location and they want a few bucks for it...think about what I said. It's a big asset to not have to run your own car or pickup all over just to go to work. Just my point of view, and maybe it's not popular among the masses...but money is money and time is time...Remember also you can write that parking fee off of your taxes, with a receipt.

I know my beloved 2000 F-350 with the 7.3L Powerstroker gets 20 mpg, but still costs me a small fortune to run around doing the things I do to the tune of around $80.00 each time I fuel it up, so I'd be tickled pink to pay somebody with a decent yard $100.00 a month to let me park a big truck there.
