I have 17 years OTR the last two years doing tankers .

get your twic card and don't look back !!!!

try to get on with a gas hauler and don't look back . most pay by the hour with.OT .

Even if the first place you hall gas is not the best after one year you can get in with the big boys and make 65,000 plus a year and sleep in your own bed every night !!

Thanks for the replies. Gives me some more ideas on where to look but I am hoping to find something with out and back runs. I am hoping to get away from the OTR runs.

If you're talking about gasoline you need to look again. The gasoline business is 24 hour 7 days a week all year round. We ran 2 shifts 12 hours each. 6am to 6pm and then 6pm to 6am. A small is terminal is 4 trucks. But with that 4 trucks in a state like Nevada those trucks will each haul 149000 gallons a day. That's 12450 gallons or so per load and will do 6 loads per shift. Times that by 4 then by52 and you'll get over 7.5 million gallons a year per truck! Granted that's a good year but Las Vegas is a year round city. Very seldom will you see a slow down unless there's a disaster somewhere.

Call superior! I called and talked to their recruiter today, and she is super nice. Even went above and beyond and gave me recommendations on companies in my area, as they are not and don't offer take home trucks. She said it depends on the terminal but most have local and regional service but some offer OTR.

Thanks again for the replies. I am not sure I want to jump into gas hauling but will look into it. Any other recommendations on companies is appreciated.
