That's great, practice makes perfect!
I also ease off the fuel a little before a curve then steady on the fuel through the curve slightly accelerating, this seems to smooth out the effect of the fluid pushing up the outside wall of the tank. If you come into a curve too fast and get on the brakes to slow down once in the curve it can have a dramatic effect on the movement of the fluid in the trailer.
You don't have to drive slow but drive as if "there's a glass of water on the dash and you're trying not too spill any as you go down the road".
When pumping product on and off the biggest thing is ROUTINE! Get an efficient routine in your head and stick to it, follow all your procedures every time, you won't save any time by cutting corners or skipping steps in the process, you will however highly increase the chance of a spill by not following the procedures.
Above all else remember two things : PRESSURES and TEMPERATURES.
Both these things can hurt you bad if you don't follow your routine and your procedures every time!

That's what ive been telling myself is get a routine.Right now im making things harder then what I should.Like getting on top of the trailer to open the hatch.Asphailt sticks which makes the hatch hard to open so I need to ge on top and use both hands. But there has to be an easier way.Do you open the hatch from the steps?Thursday I did fine but yesterday nothing went right.

Congrats patty,
On those sticking dome lids, I get that all the time hauling resins what I do is loosen up all the wings but don't remove them and take a large screw driver and pry it up, this will also relieve any pressure that has built up in the tank.

Thank you very much for all the advice guys,i'm going to absorb it all too.I have a fear of heights and if I can absolutely help it i'd rather not get on top of the trailer to open the lid.Getting down is worse then climbing up.Hopefully the boots I buy today will also help.My company called a little bit ago to tell me what time to be in Monday. They always tell the drivers the day before what time to be in and where they're going.Which is nice so you can trip plan ahead of time.Plus we get the same trailer everyday so no unhooking and hooking.

I seen those safety shoes that look like tennis shoes and wanted to get those instead but they prefer boots. My boss also told me yesterday I don't need steel toes just boots to cover the ankles.I was told different at orientation but hey who am I to argue ill listen to my boss, lol. The ones I bought only wore once and only as far as my car because the left steal plate was rubbing against my 3rd toe so alittle polishing up and hopefully walmart takes them back.I've been wearing my moms boots.Don't think shes ever wore them, they looked brand new.Now they're covered in asphalt.I need boots with comfort.Money is no object. There is a boot store in a strip mall that I bet has just what i'm looking for.
See, that's weird, I have a problem going up, but coming down is ok, probably because I know I'm coming down. I know what you mean about klod hopper boots, I hate those. I had some safety shoes once, that were like tennis shoes only a steel toe, that were much better,They were so comfortable (once broken in) I wore them all the time, and even set off the metal detector when getting on a plane once, before you had to take your shoes off, that is.
Let me tell you alittle bit about orientation, how many of you got to pick where you wanted to eat for lunch?I did and chose the Olive Garden, lol.Safety guy asked where I wanted to take lunch I said I don't care he says none of that wishy washy stuff, lol. So it was a toss up between Olive Garden and Red Robin burgers.Linda who is my boss said I did well on selecting where to go for lunch, lol. The company has excellent equipment and 70 mph trks.No elogs .Everything is pretty basic far as the paperwork so that's good.
