You need a CDL to haul for hire farm products. Only exempt if hauling something you grew on your farm, to market. Catch is insurance company will want you to have a CDL , even if hauling your own produce.
Some field jobs pay very well. short amount of time to get produce to packing shed, corn to silo, whatever.
Especially oranges picked for fresh market packing. Plenty of jobs, just have to look and ask.

Silage pays great but you have to travel. A lot.

Sugar beet harvest should get rolling in nw MN soon. They are always looking for drivers. If its muddy its quite an experience.

In California if you have a CDL and a pulse you can get a harvest job.
