what is the approximate weight of this dump

    Is this dump a truck that would be used at a coal mine and would be too big for the highway and too heavy for hauling sand and gravel with a70,000 GVW in maryland

    Mine is shorter bed and not as high as the one you posted. I could get 21-22T of gravel in it but being a 20yr old truck she didn't have the brakes for that much of a load. 16-18T comfortable. 16T to be legal.

    I would think if you get paid by the hour the Mack would good but by % I would find a truck with more axels.
    Coal isn't heavy like aggregate so they like the bigger boxes. The Mack you posted looks like it would fit in right at home in the deep dark holla's of eastern Kentucky coal roads.
