I am buying a 2003 from the pete store that came out of Pennsylvania and PB told me they were not putting any more money into the truck (20,000 so far) I had to agree to accept up to 2,000 dollars more if it needed it to go through inspection, any thing more and I could get out of the deal and get my 2,000 dollars back. So far it got one new drop axle tire, bed stop cable along with new conduit (welded), and the air control valve
moved outside of the cab. my question is about the steering assist cylinder leaking, not bad , but overnight it leaves a spot about 1 inch in diameter on the pavement and I am sure it leaks more as it is being used. As it is leaking going down the highway it is caking up on the inside of the passenger side brakes also one of the hoses is cut, torn, worn and frayed, should this pass inspection

Cyl.would need to be fixed if oil is hitting the ground, remember when you get out on road after you leave dealer you will be paying the fines + paying to have it fixed on the road?

Doesn't sound like somebody I would want to do business with. Tell them to take the cost of repair off the price or fix it and make sure it passes inspection or I'll shop elsewhere. I'm sure there are other trucks available. Shop around and take your time. Remember whose pocket this is coming out of.
